Ausome Alicorn is the work of an autistic artist.
I am an animal enthusiast, and I particularly love wolves, horses, and reptiles, but my favorite fantasy creature is the alicorn (a winged unicorn). I particularly love to combine creatures to make a new one. I live in Texas and attend a school for autistic adults which is where I got my first real introduction to art and I am now studying digital art there. I started by drawing Pokemon and other fan art and eventually started drawing my own creatures. My earlier works are typically marker and pencil, but currently I focus on digitally drawn art using Affinity drawing software. My mom helps me take my drawings and put them on other items, such as shirts, mugs, cards, etc. She's helped me start and run my Ausome Alicorn business as a way to generate some income for me and to promote acceptance, since finding and keeping jobs is really hard for people with disabilities. I hope you like my creations!

Note: Ausome Alicorn is aware that the use of the puzzle piece as an autism symbol can be controversial to some. As an autistic person, the artist feels puzzle pieces are personally meaningful to her and she feels as they represent that autistics are part of the greater whole and we can't be forced into a place we don't fit without damage, which is why she incorporates them into some of her work. While we respect that not everyone's opinion is the same, we ask that you please respect her opinion and her art, regardless of your personal belief on the subject. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions.
