Inspired by extant examples, this small votive axe is crafted
to scale in brass using riveted construction and etched with designs
reminiscent golden double axes held by the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion.
The size and shape are based on bronze examples held by the Met Museum. While it
is unknown how these votive axes were used, many have rings that suggest use as
pendants. These axes make a fantastic addition to Minoan garb for reenactment.
Please note each item is handmade so variation to be expected.
