A mini version of my Minoan inspired votive axe. This necklace is a perfect way to add a little touch of historical flare to everyday wear.

Inspired by extant examples, this small votive axe is crafted to on a smaller scale in brass and etched with designs reminiscent golden double axes held by the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion. The shape is based on bronze examples held by the Met Museum. While it is unknown how these votive axes were used, many have rings that suggest use as pendants. 

Please note each item is handmade so variation to be expected.
