Inspired by the sea life motifs of Minoan and Mycenean art, this historically inspired pendant is perfect for everyday wear. Hand crafted from faience, an ancient glaze like medium often referred to as Egyptian faience or Egyptian paste. While typically associated with Egypt, examples have been found throughout the Mediterranean basin including the Aegean Sea. This faience piece has a lightly glossy front surface (the back feels a little like unglazed pottery), the durability is similar to glass or ceramic.
