I made this wheel-thrown baluster style mug with the inspiration of a pot from the Middle Ages found in Exeter, UK, But it would be also as useful and attractive in a modern kitchen or office space as it would at a Medieval event.
The design is carved herringbone, which is a Medieval design and the glazes replicate those from the Medieval jug, but with glazes I mixed myself to be safe.
Made with high-fire stoneware and non-lead glaze, it is also sturdy, stable, and safe for liquids of your choice. The handle is large, comfortable to grasp, and well-attached. It is 4 & 1/2" tall and holds 12 oz. of your favorite Beverage.
