Pls. contact me directly before purchasing. I will need your foot measurements.

There are two different pairs of socks here. the last pair is the last picture before the measurement picture. They are both Brown and will both fit a 10-in foot. these are hand spun and nalbinded using the Oslo stitch. Made in a traditional ancient craft, created with a single bone needle. I make them in thick or average weight wool your choice. Authentic 9th/10th Century stitches. Viking, Norse, Anglo, Saxon medieval Re-enactment, or SCA, LARP socks will keep your feet warm. Nalbinding has been found as early as the Bronze and Early Iron Age cultures all over the world but are generally associated with Norse or vikings. It is a precursor to knitting and crochet. It has been described as Knotless netting, needle looping and detached buttonhold filling or simple looping. To nalbind you would use a single needle and your thumb. The Scandinavians use the term Nalbinding. The word Nal means needle and binding means stitching. The last photos is a picture of how to measure your foot for a custom fit. Caring for you sock: After use the bottom of your socks will felt because of the sweat and agitation, this is normal and gives your feet an extra layer of protection. I tell people if you need to wash them use a little dawn dish soap or soap for wool, just a tad. Cool water, swish them around a little not to much or they may felt, rinse in cool water, swish a little. Do not ring out, lay flat on towel, fold towel over them so it covers them and you can place walk on it to get extra wool out. Do that a couple of times and they just lay flat to dry. Your not working in a coal mine with them so you can just use a little free-breeze if you want to freshen it up. I believe in quality, service and guarantee www.intriguingdesigns.net
