In the summer of 2024, we were blessed to once again visit one of my favorite cities, Florence. In the Duomo, we were excited to find that a new section had been opened, leading down into the crypts. There, we found a superb display that contained some belt fittings from the Medici tomb.
These are simply amazing, and they've inspired a whole line of belt components we've made since. While of them fit the 1" belt width of the original, we've also done some for the popular 1.5" width - and this is that variation, available as the buckle only, the buckle and anchor plate for attaching it to the leather (with four rivets), or with the buckle, anchor plate and a matching tip.
I can custom engrave or carve on the anchor plate and tip. Additionally, our "castle" 1.5" tip perfectly fits this buckle.
Made from sheet brass and the buckle is cast from high-detail jeweler's brass.
